Who we are

DBS Content & Search ("DBS", "we", "us") is a division of Designbysoap Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 07341108). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at john@designbysoap.co.uk.

What we collect

How we use it

We use the email address you submit solely to respond to your enquiry – typically within 24 hours – and to carry out any work you've asked us to scope, such as a site audit. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have initiated. We do not add you to marketing lists without your consent, and we never sell personal data.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies by default. We store one small preference in your browser's local storage to remember your choice on our cookie banner. If you accept analytics, we may set analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site; if you decline, no analytics run. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, after which the banner will ask again.

Who processes your data

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA), which processes server logs and form submissions on our behalf under its data processing terms, including standard contractual clauses for international transfers. Form submissions are forwarded to our UK team by email. We do not share your personal data with anyone else unless required by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails and form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting engagement, then deleted. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to our processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email john@designbysoap.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data – for example, by adding analytics – we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
